Minnesota’s vaccinated seniors are “returning to normal” at different speeds
While 90-percent of Minnesota’s seniors have been vaccinated against “COVID-19”, not all of them are returning to their pre-pandemic activities at the same rate: A survey from “Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota” finds that one-in-five vaccinated seniors have yet to visit with any family or friends—while two-in-five still don’t feel comfortable socializing with unvaccinated grandchildren. “Blue Cross”-ambassador and long-time radio-personality, John Hines, urges his fellow seniors to continue supporting each other… “Minimizing social isolation and loneliness remains important—as they’re linked to such serious medical-conditions as dementia, heart-disease, depression, and anxiety. That’s why seniors should make plans to see the people whom they care about, in whatever way allows them to feel safe; they should also keep connecting over the phone, or online. Socializing outdoors—while the weather is still nice—is a great way to stay connected with both friends and family. Yet, with breakthrough infections on the rise, it’s also important that seniors continue to protect themselves, and others—by wearing masks indoors, in areas with high levels of transmission—even if they’re vaccinated. The pandemic definitely continues to take its toll. And, the best way to get through this is together.” To learn more, visit “blue-cross-m-n”-dot-com-slash-“seniors”.
