Minor Prophets: Overview of Joel

“Rend your hearts and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God,” Joel 2:13.Welcome to our study of the minor prophets of the Old Testament. Today, specifically, we're going to be thinking about the Pentecost prophet that pointed more than any toward that great day in Acts chapter 2 on Pentecost-the book of Joel. The book of Joel is a very unique minor prophet in that Joel points men and women toward Pentecost. What are some of the main ideas in Joel? The book of Joel is all about the desolation, the destruction, and the devastation that Locust is going to bring. You have chewing, swarming, and various types of Locust.
