Misconceptions and Marine Life

from Out of the Blue · host Heather Maginn and Erin Sanders

Heather and Erin have both worked in marine education for many years.  Throughout that time, they have encountered some pretty strange and unusual concepts about marine life, some of which are just completely wrong.  Today's episode is an opportunity to have a bit of a laugh at some of the misconceptions out there, for example hermit crabs make the shells they live in, but also serves as a reminder that we never stop learning and sometimes need to question and explore things we we have assumed are true from childhood.
