His national rise began with UPI Radio when he covered a tragic fast-food shooting in San Diego — his first breakthrough. From there, he became a UPI National Correspondent and Bureau Chief, interviewing presidents, covering Super Bowls, Hollywood legends, natural disasters, and some of the biggest stories of our time. He has lived through earthquakes, survived a violent assault during the 1992 L.A. riots while reporting live, and continues to bring truth, heart, and integrity to every story he tells.
