Miss Tanisha- I see the world through my father’s eyes

Tanisha, 17 years old, lost her vision in May 2023. She is the eldest daughter of Mrs Kanta and Mr Rajkumar. She was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2014 and has been managing her diabetes since then in terms of eating healthy meals, exercises, and routine.

It was Tanisha’s 12th standard board examination, and 4 examinations went well, when suddenly she started having a severe headache. The treatment for her severe headache got her some life changing side effects, Now she is managing her diabetes with the lost vision. She says nothing has stopped her or will ever stop her.

Her father has been her greatest support and motivation throughout her diabetes journey and still is and so is her family members. Her father helps her with injecting insulin in the morning, evening, at bedtime and her mother fills the insulin syringe which she injects herself in the afternoon.

She has a keen interest in studying Home Science and wants to be a guiding light, a teacher in her near future.
