En 1995 la banda visita Latinoamérica por primera vez en el marco de su nueva gira, abarrotando fechas en México, Brasil, Argentina y Chile entre enero y febrero. Durante la 37ª entrega de los premios Grammy su más reciente material discográfico ganó en la categoría Mejor Álbum Rock y el videoclip de «Love Is Strong» se alzó como vencedor en la categoría de Mejor Video Musical, formato largo. Completan fechas por Sudáfrica, Japón, Australia, Nueva Zelanda y Europa Continental, para ofrecer su último concierto en el Feijenoord Stadion de Rotterdam el 30 de agosto. La gira les reportó ganancias de más de $370 millones de dólares tras más de 140 conciertos realizados, en ese momento se convertía en su gira más exitosa. Entre marzo y julio grabaron Stripped en Tokio, Lisboa, Londres, Ámsterdam y París, para ser publicado el 13 de noviembre. El material se constituía de versiones acústicas de algunas de sus canciones de antaño alternadas con otras extraídas del Voodoo Lounge Tour, inspirándose en un disco de Jackson Brown.
