Missing Monday: Antoinette Forbes
from Red Flags and Body Bags Hosted by Red Flags and Body Bags
Antoinette Forbes, a 53-year-old mother from Washington, D.C., has been missing since September 2026 — and the circumstances surrounding her disappearance have left her family desperate for answers. Antoinette was last seen in person on September 4, 2026, near her home in Northwest Washington, D.C. The following morning, September 5, she FaceTimed her sister and appeared completely normal. Then she stopped responding. When a friend went to Antoinette’s home, her car was still there. Her keys, wallet, purse and phones were inside. Her dog was also left behind. But Antoinette was gone. As investigators searched her home, attention also turned to Antoinette’s documented history with her former partner and the father of her 10-year-old son, Russell Ashford. Court records show Ashford previously pleaded guilty to as***lting Antoinette in 2021. Less than two months before she disappeared, Antoinette appeared in court and spoke about the lasting injuries and fear she experienced. Ashford was later arrested in Pennsylvania on matters unrelated to Antoinette’s disappearance and subsequently faced separate f*rearm charges. Police have NOT publicly named Russell Ashford as a suspect or person of interest in Antoinette Forbes’ disappearance. In this Missing Monday deep dive, we walk through the complete timeline of Antoinette Forbes’ disappearance, her final known communications, what was found at her home, the previous court case, the ongoing investigation and the questions that remain unanswered. If you were in or around Wesley Heights, Tenleytown, Spring Valley, Friendship Heights, American University or the 3200 block of Nebraska Avenue NW during September 4–7, 2026, Antoinette’s family has asked residents to review Ring cameras, security footage and dashcams. Anyone with information about Antoinette Forbes should contact the Metropolitan Police Department at 202-727-9099 or text 50411. Please share Antoinette’s name and face.
