Every person desires to have a meaning for their lives- a mission to live and die for. In the marketplace of our world, the best seller in terms of looking for meaning is that of a self-created meaning. What makes you happy? What are you good at? What are you interested in? But those pathways for meaning, however popular they are, when tried end up crushing our souls. The weight and burden of needing to create your own meaning is more than we can stand. In coming to Jesus, we don't create a meaning or a mission, we inherit a mission that gives us meaning- a mission worth living and dying for!
