MISSION OF GRACE.

Date: 7.12.09 Speaker: Johnny Thiessen Texts: Ephesians 2:8-10 Title: MISSION OF GRACE. How God has called us on an epic journey with Him. There are two extremes in the way we can look at our status before God. One is that we are not good enough to be accepted by God, so why even try. Or there is the flip side, thinking that we are basically good and just come to church for our Jesus supplement in the way that we eat healthy but take some vitamins to top it up and make sure. In todays message, guest speaker Johnny Thiessen, a missional church-planting pastor from Abbotsford, tells us that we are all screw-ups, God is holy and none of us are basically good. But the story doesnt end there. Instead, God has called us to live out an epic story with Him, in which He chose us before Creation (Ephesians 1:4), where our purpose is to do good works (Matthew 5:16) which he prepared in advance for us to do (Ephesians 2:10). Because of what Christ has done for us, the grace He has shown us, we go and give grace to the people in our world.
