Mission Trip Interview

This service is an interview rather than a sermon, debriefing a mission trip to Kenya and the church's partnership with the Grain of Rice Project and Academy. Three team members — Jeff, Rebecca, and Brooke — describe daily life there, dispelling caricatures and drawing parallels to life at home. The conversation traces the ministry's growth from a two-room space in the Kibera slums to a campus academy of one hundred sixty students, where artisans work, children receive supplemented learning, and families are expected to engage so the whole household is built up. Recurring through every story is reliance on God in uncomfortable places — teaching unfamiliar subjects, speaking publicly, accepting the sacrifice of others — closing with 2 Corinthians 2:14–15 and an invitation to advocate, pray, and consider going.
