Barnabas - Son of Encouragement Often when it comes to mission we focus on those who seemingly made the biggest difference.  Evangelists who’ve won countless souls for Christ, those with incredible giftings that stand out from the pack to do extraordinary things.  In the early church it was Peter and James and then Paul and Timothy who stood out from the pack.  And no doubt they did extraordinary things for God.  They were gifted by God and stepped out courageously by faith to do amazing things. Yet they never did it alone.  They had people in their corner, lesser known usually, encouraging them on.  Championing them in every way they could.  I want to talk about one of those people from scripture tonight.  Barnabas.
