Missions Sunday: Blind Bartimaeus (8/11/19)

from Carmel Presbyterian Church · host Caleb Schut

18 of our 30 CPC-supported missions organizations will be with us this weekend for Missions Sunday. Come hear how God is bringing every tribe, tongue and nation to Himself through the work of His people! Don't miss the patio this Sunday where you can visit with the missionaries and get more information about each one at their table. Caleb Schut will be sharing God's Word with us in both services. He is the Assistant Pastor at Grace Chicago Church and the Executive Director of Beautiful Response, one of the missions organizations we support through financial giving and prayer at CPC. "Missions helps us see the world rightly by reminding us of the story that we are a part of. This Sunday, we will look at blind Bartimaeus and what we can learn about missions through his story. The irony is that Bartimaeus sees with more clarity and understanding than the 'seeing' disciples do. I hope you will join me as we examine where we need to be to see, with renewed vision, the story into which God invites us." -- Caleb Schut
