Missouri Coach Calls Kansas Hype Video Disappointing | Missouri Tigers Football News

Kansas dropped a Civil War-themed hype video before their game against Missouri, framing the rivalry as “right versus wrong” and painting Missouri as the bad guys. But after Missouri pulled off the win, head coach Eli Drinkwitz called the video bizarre and divisive, saying it turned a football game into a historical soap opera. He insisted the rivalry belongs on the field—not in history books—and admitted the video actually motivated his team to “embarrass” Kansas. In the end, Drinkwitz delivered a cheeky, triumphant message: Missouri left them “bleeding again,” proving the scoreboard speaks louder than any script.
