Missouri Dominates Early with Simmons & Olugbode | Missouri Tigers Football News

Missouri made a thunderous statement in their season opener, dismantling Arkansas-Pine Bluff 54-14 with a dominant home performance that hinted at a breakout year. Quarterback Austin Simmons, fresh from Ole Miss, was lights-out early, going 17-of-19 for 252 yards and four touchdowns—all before halftime—showing he’s dialed into the new offense. Donovan Olugbode had a career day with eight catches for 116 yards and two TDs, forming a lethal connection with Simmons. The defense didn’t back down either, led by safety Elijah Dotson’s three tackles and a fumble forced, shutting down the opponent in the first half. With a tougher test against Kansas looming, this explosive start could be just the beginning of something special.
