Missouri Football Back on Field | Missouri Tigers Football News

Missouri football returns after 250 days of anticipation, kicking off their 2026 season against Arkansas-Pine Bluff — a matchup poised to be one-sided but packed with storylines. Young underclassmen step into bigger roles without key starters, while Austin Simmons, a transfer QB from Ole Miss, aims to establish himself as the leader after last year’s shaky quarterback play. Coach Drinkwitz hopes naming a starter early will build that leadership. Special teams, long a weak spot, are revved up with new coaches and specialists like healthy kicker Blake Craig. And on offense, the revamped line must protect Simmons and communicate effectively — a strong showing here could set the tone for the rest of the year.
