Missouri Names Simmons Starting QB

Missouri Tigers Coach Eli Drinkwitz swiftly named Ole Miss transfer Austin Simmons as the starting quarterback for the 2026 season. Simmons, a Florida native with high upside, showed promise at Ole Miss before an injury cut his starting chance short. He joins a powerhouse run game led by Ahmad Hardy and Jamal Roberts, and a talented receiving corps including Cayden Lee and Caleb Goodie. With new offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey, Missouri is poised for a strong season, potentially pushing for the playoffs if Simmons fulfills his potential.
