Missouri Schools Get Letter Grades | St. Louis News

Missouri’s State Board of Education has approved a sweeping new grading system that will assign letter grades to nearly every school and district in the state, following pressure from Governor Mike Kehoe’s executive order. After months of debate and behind-the-scenes negotiations, the board voted to move forward — though critics warn the exact grading criteria remain unclear since no public data has been released. With rollout potentially as early as November, this major overhaul could reshape how Missouri communities view their schools — but with key details still missing, many are left wondering what these grades truly mean for students, teachers, and districts.
