Missouri's QB Race: Left-Handed Simmons Leads

Missouris quarterback scene is undergoing another significant transformation, with just one returning player from last season, freshman Matt Zollers. As spring practices commence, coach Eli Drinkwitz has declared an open competition. Transfer Austin Simmons from Ole Miss appears to be the early favorite, despite his early ankle injury last season. Simmons, known for his smarts, strong arm, and running ability, is left-handed, which may require adjustments to the Tigers offense. Backing Simmons are Nick Evers, who transferred from UConn, and Zollers. The new quarterback room is expected to strengthen Missouris position, making for an exciting spring.
