Mistaking Kindness For Weakness

from Not Me, But You! · host Art Kester

Send us Fan MailWelcome to episode #44. Have you ever met someone who mistakes kindness for weakness? There are jerky people in this life. Some people choose to behave as A-holes. If you want to maximize your potential to be successful then it's important that you are aware of this concept. Dealing with people and not fearing confrontation is simply part of life. Notice that I did NOT say that you should SEEK confrontation. What I AM saying is that you must NOT FEAR it!There are two "close cousins" of this same concept and they are: do not mistake my calmness for acceptance, and do not mistake my silence for ignorance. If your words/actions don't match up to me, then I have no problem letting you know. Unfortunately, in life, some people will only respect the boundaries that you set with them unless you are willing to get upset with them. And if you project a clear message to people that says, "I am not uncomfortable with confrontation" then people will sense who you are and what you're about. That is a good thing! Sometimes people will make you fight for what is already yours. But when it comes to selling and making sales, my philosophy is to forget all the "tricky closes" and simply be genuine. Be yourself. Just be you!Facebook: Waypa Today Twitter: Waypa TodayInstagram: Waypa (dot) todayYouTube Channel: Waypa TodayEmail: [email protected]/recipes email me at [email protected]: Healthy Wise Cooking www.waypatoday.comwww.healthywisecooking.comI'm not a financial advisor. I love using Schwab.com to buy/sell stocks/ETF's/closed end funds/options. Schwab has a very user friendly app/website and their customer service is excellent. I can easily get to speak to a human being whenever I have questions.
