Today is Chapter Two, concerning 'Wedlock's Peaceful and Perfect Repose.' Marietta Holley's writing was extremely popular in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, and she sold over ten million copies of her books. While the dialect is sometimes hard to understand, the stories are still fun to hear today. Over the years, Holley's work has become lost and forgotten, something that we hope to change.
