Der Vortrag zeigt, wie OpenStreetMap dabei unterstützen kann, digital souverän eigene Projekte im Bereich Daten und Karten umzusetzen. Der Fokus liegt dabei auf einem Überblick zu den Möglichkeiten und bereitstehenden (FOSS) Tools. Konkrete technische Umsetzungsanleitungen werden nicht gegeben. Dies würde den Rahmen sprengen. Ausgangspunkt des Vortrags sind die Daten bei OpenStreetMap: Welche Daten enthält die Datenbank und mit welchen Werkzeugen kann man ermitteln, ob die gewünschten Daten vorhanden sind? Im Weiteren wird auf die Möglichkeit zur Bearbeitung und Ergänzung der Daten in der Datenbank eingegangen. Im zweiten Teil geht es um die Infrastruktur. Was braucht es, um einen eigenen Kartenserver zu betreiben oder OSM-Karten in eine Webseite einzubauen? Welche fertigen Kartendarstellungen zur Nutzung gibt es? Welche niederschwelligen Angebote gibt es zur eigenen Kartenerstellung? Dabei werden Seitenblicke auf die Lizenzbedingungen von OpenStreetMap bei der Nutzung von Karten und Daten sowie den Datenschutz geworfen.
