Mitchell Interviews Peter Lowden on Structural Energy Integration

from A Better World with Mitchell J. Rabin · host A Better World with Mitchell J. Rabin

Today, the topic is the structure of the body, that which keeps us standing, moving and at one time crawling–bones, muscles, fascia, the nervous system which enervates them and the energy system of chi behind that which animates them. This physical structure is the basis of our personal expression and its health and integrity a vital part of enjoyable living, artistic expression, work and play.   To discuss this today is Structural Energetic Therapy practitioner, Peter C. Lowden, LMT, currently practicing in the Tampa area of Florida.  I had the pleasure of meeting Peter and be worked on by him recently in Asheville, NC where we were both on retreat, studying ancient Taoist energy techniques.  Peter has been practicing Structural Integration, which helps to free up the limbs and joints through manipulation of fascia (similar but distinct from Rolfing) so that the client experiences much greater range and ease of motion. What might have been years of habituated, limited motion begin to melt as the ability to move opens up, a very real form of liberation.   In Peter’s own words:  I have been an LMT in the Tampa Bay area of Fl for 20+ years, with a specialized focus in Structural myofascial Bodywork including numerous Cranial techniques. As with most massage bodyworkers my continued studies are for personal and professional growth. Striving for outer and inner self balance, strength to become a greater reflective example for those that share my space of wellness. So tune in today to learn more about this body art, based on anatomy and the powerful use of intent, mind, energy and touch.  Peter can be reached at 727 804-0040.
