Social scientist, prodigious author, activist, environmentalist, media expert Duane Elgin recently wrote a provocative book Choosing Earth.  His wife, renowned filmmaker, Coleen Elgin, directed a film based on the book.  Both are Mitchell's guests today on A Better World Radio & TV. The messages of the book and film are unambiguous:  we are at an eco-systemic tipping point--we either get 'out act together' or our future is literally dimmed and the 6th Extinction proceeds as extinctions have over the course of millennia on Earth.
