Mixed Race, Half Enough

from Biracial Unicorns

In this episode we take on a topic suggestion from listener Tabitha - "when you aren't enough for your culture." For us, this really resonates since we've both experienced being told we "talk white" or "act white." We try to dissect what "white things" (vs "black/brown thing") are and why we see them that way. We also recognize that it's not limited to those of us who are biracial - all people of color who are products of colonialism may struggle with this too. We also geek out a bit about cosplay and horror movies as we can't take anything too seriously. Be sure to drop us a line and let us know about your experiences with this topic (and we might share it on an upcoming episode). Also, our happy places this week devolve into another fandom mini-discussion because we just can't help it. Thanks to Josef Scott of Citizens of Tape City for our theme music and Dollipop Art for our podcast artwork - you can find her on instagram @dollipop.art. We want to hear from you!
