Mizzou Football Celebrates 100 Years at Memorial

Mizzou Football’s historic 100th anniversary at Memorial Stadium kicks off with a Saturday showdown against Troy at 11:45 AM CT on SEC Network Plus — their first home game of the season. The Tigers open with a Thursday tilt against Arkansas Pine-Bluff and a high-stakes Friday Border War vs. Kansas on FOX. Coach Eli Drinkwitz, ranked 23rd among Power Four head coaches, is building momentum after a modest 8-5 campaign last year — hampered by quarterback injuries — but his teams have consistently stayed above .500 in SEC play. To climb the coaching ladder, he’ll need more wins against elite SEC foes. Recruiting is heating up too: three-star defensive lineman Dami Sowunmi, previously eyed by Indiana and Cincinnati, has committed to Mizzou for 2027. Meanwhile, baseball players entered the transfer portal, and the women’s basketball team heads to Kansas City for a game against Kansas State.
