Mizzou Lands Local LB Kobe Rhymes

Mizzou Football just pulled off a major recruiting win with the commitment of local linebacker Kobe Rhymes, a top-three-star prospect from North Kansas City, who officially chose the Tigers over offers from Nebraska, Kansas, and Oregon. Standing at 6’1” and 220 pounds, Rhymes is ranked among the nation’s elite linebackers in his class and becomes the fifth in-state commit for the 2027 class — a huge boost for Mizzou’s defensive depth. His decision underscores the program’s growing success in keeping top Missouri talent home, and his commitment signals the Tigers’ continued focus on building a championship-caliber roster from within the state.
