Mizzou Names Starting QB, Shuffles O-Line

Missouri football has named Austin Simmons as their starting quarterback for the 2026 season, earlier than usual under coach Drinkwitz. The backup spot is open between Matt Zollers and Nick Evers. The running back duo of Ahmad Hardy and Jamal Roberts is highly regarded. The wide receiver group features transfers Cayden Lee, Caleb Goodie, and Donovan Olugbode. Brett Norfleet holds the starting tight end role, backed by Jude James and Jordon Harris. The offensive line has some competition due to injuries, with Logan Reichert and Luke Work vying for the right tackle spot. Blake Craig returns to kicking duties, and Mark Shenouda and Brunno Reus are competing for the punter position. Mizzous offense is shaping up to be deep and dynamic heading into the 2026 season.
