Mizzou Olympic Sports 2025 Wish List | Majority Rules

from Rock M Radio: A University of Missouri podcast · host FFSN

In this new year's episode of Majority Rules, the group starts out by sharing some specific wishes for Mizzou Olympic sports in 2025 before getting into the news. Dylan and Quentin are up first to discuss WBB and their unsurprising 0-2 start to SEC play. Will it get better? There is a slight reprieve in the schedule this week, so we'll see! There have been some bright spots, and the duo makes a wager at Rory's request of how many SEC games the Tigers can win. Rory's next, and with some added insight from former swimmer Karen, she talks about the swim & dive team, who are coming off loss to top 10 Louisville. Like WBB, smoother sailing should be ahead in their next matchup, and while the team dubs aren't coming, improvements are there.Next up is Karen, who takes us through the "Beauty" portion of the Beauty & the Beast meet, where, despite lower scores (don't freak out), the team sits very well positioned nationally and did amazingly well on bars. She also looks at some potential injury concerns before looking at what's next as the team heads out to Denver for its first away meet of the season. Matthew closes out the in-season sports talk with the "Beast" side of the meet, where a VERY injury riddled Tiger team took on national runner up Cornell. There were a few brights spots, but far more ugly ones. Karen then shares an update on behalf of Abigail as indoor track & field gets set for the Alexis Jarrett Invitational, which will take place in Hearnes over the weekend. The episode ends with some out of season sports chatter about softball (preseason player rankings!) and updates with volleyball (former Tigers in the pros, transfer destinations).
