Mizzou Updates & Media Day Jabs | Missouri Tigers Football News

SEC Media Days kicked off with Mizzou’s coach Eli Drinkwitz firing playful shots at the Big Ten, while injury updates reveal Josh Atkins facing a longer recovery, leaving Luke Work, Logan Reichert, or Jack Lange to fill his role. Ahmad Hardy is medically cleared after a gunshot wound but still faces a 5-8 week recovery, while Blake Craig is back from ACL surgery and Brunno Reus will handle kickoffs. Coaches’ bravado under media scrutiny? Sometimes it’s armor, sometimes just theater. Off the field, four former Mizzou women’s volleyball stars are moving forward—Emily Thater, Mychael Vernon, and Maya Sands to League One, Colleen Finney into leadership—and tennis coach Robin Goodman brings in international talent Alexandra-Irina Anghel. Mizzou’s athletic department is clearly investing in growth, and former athletes are proving their legacy extends far beyond the court.
