MK Ultra - The CIA Mind Control Program

This weeks topic is a little grim compared to most of the things that we usually talk about. Normally, I like to talk about more up-beat and positive subjects. I feel like this topic was necessary at the same time though. We barely scratch the surface of MK Ultra and the scope of the programs that fell under it in this episode. We may make more episodes in the future about MK Ultra, but more specifically, the sub-projects that occurred within the MK Ultra umbrella. What is MK Ultra? MK Ultra was also known as the CIA's mind control program. In 1955 the CIA opened the project in an attempt to create techniques and drugs that would allow them to gain a steep advantage when interrogating enemy POW's, and especially suspected soviet spies that they believed had infiltrated the American Government at some of the highest levels. The programs took some really dark and disturbing turns. This subject is so expansive that we could literally talk about it for weeks, and never run out of new things to say, so if you want to hear more episodes like this, please let us know on social media.
