SAfm — The KwaZulu-Natal Premier, Willies Mchunu says the Ethekwini Municipality has confirmed the alleged salary increases for some municipal employees. Striking workers gridlocked the city after demanding salary increases similar to those promised to uMmkhonto weSizwe veterans. The eThekwini Municipality has now decided to halt this process. Premier Mchunu says they have launched an investigation into the matter.
