MLB Proposes Salary Cap, Sweep Week, Cristopher Sanchez & Munetaka Murakami Make History, Cole Train is Back, Pulse of the League, This Weekend in Baseball

Happy Friday, Ballers! Today, we discuss the initial proposal brought about by the MLB to come to an agreement with the MLBPA on a new CBA which is set to expire this December and the main topics that were addressed. From there, we recap what went down the league including being treated to two historic baseball performances: Cristopher Sanchez has set the scoreless innings pitched streak in Phillies’ franchise history and Munetaka Murakami of the Chicago White Sox reached the 20 HR plateau before the month of June which is something no other rookie has ever done. Later, we take a look at the return of Gerrit Cole and how this version may be the best pitcher we’ve seen of his future HOF career thus far along with getting our first league wide pulse of the league check in now that we have passed Memorial Day.
