The country reels from the racist rants of the President ,who used profane language in the White House to question why the United States cannot attract more immigrants from majority-white countries instead of what he called Sh!th0les, like countries in Africa, Haiti, and El Salvador. Given Trump's appalling words and behavior, the Rev. Jim Wallis reminds us the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. said, "We will have to repent in this generation not merely for the hateful words and actions of the bad people but for the appalling silence of the good people.” "At this moment, we need to bring theology back into our churches. It isn't politics. it's theology," said Wallis. "Sin is the right word to use for racism." Racism and our response to it is not a liberal or a conservative issue.
