MLS #079: DJ Neil Armstrong Pt. 1

Super long episode this week! Neil Armstrong is a dj and member of the renowned 5th Platoon turntablism crew. He is also a producer, a global ambassador for Adidas, an event organizer, a former tour DJ for Jay-Z, and most recently a newish resident of Tokyo. We caught up with Neil to talk about growing up in NY, getting his name from Fat Beats, being taught the art of turntablism by Mista Sinista and Total Eclipse of the X-men, battling in the highly competitive turntablist scene of the 90s and early 00's, touring with Jay-Z, his Filipino roots and his thoughts on the current state of turntablism.
