Modern Learning with Will Richardson

In this episode, Will Richardson, internationally-acclaimed speaker and author on educational technology, reflects on his years of experience working with school leaders from around the world to reimagine practice in the classroom and professional learning. Richardson asserts that schools are not built for learning and that we forget most of the things we learn in school because the system is based on memorization and retention for the sole purpose of passing tests and getting letter grades. Instead, learning should be built around passion, interest, relevance and actual purpose as we redefine essential skills for the future of work. He also shares information about his change.school website and Modern Learners Community that provides resources and strategies that focus on the change process for schools. Twitter: @willrich45.
