Molly McCloy, Detours

from The Odyssey Storytelling Podcast

The final twist in the winding road that was the August 2015 Detours show features none other than longtime Odyssey curator and volunteer Molly McCloy, whose hopes for a turnaround in the relationships within her family came from a somewhat unusual source. From Molly's most recent Odyssey bio: Molly McCloy is a four-time Moth StorySLAM winner whose work was recently profiled in O Magazine. She holds an M.F.A. in Nonfiction from The New School, and she has facilitated storytelling workshops for Pima Community College, Quest Storytelling, the University of Arizona's The Agnese Nelms Haury Program in Environmental and Social Justice, and Auto Entry's Webinar Series for CPA Academy. If you need a storytelling coach or if your organization would like to host a storytelling workshop, or if you're interested in attending her Jan 24-25 Power of Storytelling Workshop with Karen Olson, MA, LPC, contact her at [email protected]. This story was performed and recorded in front of a live audience at The Screening Room in Tucson, AZ, on August 6th, 2015, and was curated by Carolyn Langford Hussein Fort.
