Momcilovic Heads to Kentucky

Milan Momcilovic, Iowa State’s sharpshooting star, has transferred to Kentucky — a move that signals a major shakeup for the Cyclones as they rebuild. After declaring for the NBA draft and entering the transfer portal, Momcilovic brings elite three-point range, a mid-range game, and post-up skills reminiscent of Dirk Nowitzki — perfect for Kentucky’s fast-paced, shooting-heavy system under Mark Pope. While his ball-handling and rebounding need work, those very flaws likely motivated his return to college. Iowa State, already retooling after losing key pieces like Jackson Kiss, will miss his scoring punch but is actively filling the void through recruiting and transfers.
