Moment of Meditation: Astonished (Galatians 1:6)

''I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel (Galatians 1:6).'' Paul was astonished that the Galatians were forsaking the Gospel he had preached to them. Paul couldn't believe his ears. It was simply too amazing to believe. I wonder how astonished Paul would be in the Christians in America. If he were writing an epistle to our churches, would he be astonished that we had departed from what he had preached to us through his epistles? I would think so. He would be astonished at how many people twist his own words so many different ways. A different Gospel is being preached in many churches. Not the one Jesus preached. Not the one Paul proclaimed. And it's astonishing that there are so few voices lifted up against it. Paul would speak up for the truth. Will you? Amen.
