Moms in the Bible--Bathsheba

Bathsheba's story is a difficult one for me. It is full of pain and injustice. Out of the suffering, God blessed Bathsheba with a son that would love and serve the Lord, respected his mother, and who was part of the lineage of Christ. While not our ultimate source of joy or hope, God often uses our children to encourage us. They are our life's work, after all.  Bathsheba's story is found in 2 Samuel 11-12 and 1 Kings 1-2.
