For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him.1 Samuel 1:26-27 (NKJV)This week we will be looking at the word that Pastor Edna shared on Mother’s Day this Sunday entitled ‘Moms, Messes and Miracles’. Ps Edna was sharing specifically around motherhood, but we’ll be taking the principles and applying them to our lives as believers.Firstly, great people have great problems. We will inevitably face struggles in our lives and this does not mean that God has abandoned us. We must stay away from blaming and shaming and instead, take the opportunity to pour our hearts out to Him so that He can be our comfort and our rock.Secondly, great people have great priorities. Even when there is a lot going on around us, we need to make God and our families the two primary priorities in our lives. This is especially true once we are married and even more so once we have children. We need to honour God and our spouse, and take good care of our children.Finally, great people make God good plans their own. It is easy for us to make our own plans, but it is God’s purposes that will ultimately prevail. If we can submit to His plans we will be able to walk in the victory that He has for us.In which areas of your life do you need to release control back to God?Are you stuck in a cycle of judgement?
