Mon Mar 17 2025 - Scanner News - Congratulations Scottsbluff Bearcats - Favorite Local Small Business Named - Support for Jake - Support for Man with Rare Disease - National Ag Week - Protecting Private Information   https://www.panhandlescanner.com https://www.halebroadcasting.com https://www.diggingdeeper.net    TEXT "It's time for Panhandle Scanner News, and I'm your host, Brian Hale. The Scottsbluff Boys basketball team finished an incredible season, falling just one victory short of a state title. Speaking of winners, congratulations to My Angels Mexican Restaurant in Alliance, Nebraska. The support for this restaurant has been overwhelming. Congratulations to them for winning our first quarter 2025 Panhandle Scanner Favorite Local Small Business. Speaking of support, we've recently posted two GoFundMe pages for local individuals who need support here in the community. Many of you may remember the incident on County Road 10 that was a rollover involving a juvenile. That was a young man named Jake, and you can find the GoFundMe page for supporting him on our page. Also, you'll find support for a man with a rare disease sent in to us from a longtime friend and follower. The disease is Kikuchi-Fujimoto Disease. Learn more about this rare disease and support this cause if you feel led, right there on Panhandle Scanner. National Ag Week is all about celebrating the farmers, ranchers, and agricultural professionals who work hard to feed, fuel, and clothe the world. The Nebraska Department of Agriculture says it's the perfect time to thank Nebraska farmers, ranchers, and others for providing food, feed, and fuel and other products we depend on every day. Take time to thank those in Agriculture this week. At Panhandle Scanner, we often get questions related to next-of-kin notifications and regulations pertaining to the protection of private health and other identifying information. Check out our Facebook page for information about HIPAA, the regulations, the privacy rule, and the security rule, all posted right there on our Facebook page at Panhandle Scanner. That's it for Scanner News. Thanks again for listening and may God bless. I'm Brian Hale."
