Mona Nyree Stephens—Surrender and Wake Up to Life Anew
from Love Spoken Here - Talks from CSL Prescott · host CSL Prescott
Learn about the power of surrendering to the flow of the divine, and the beauty and freedom of understanding that the universe is full of opportunities if we let them come our way. By embracing the dance of surrender and creation, it opens up the doors of our consciousness and liberates us from self-doubt, worries, and fears. Instead of grasping and holding on, allow life to guide and nurture us which can often be a transformational experience. As we give up resistance and make space for what is/will be, it leads to our rebirth. From the place of surrender, we awake to life anew. Born in a rural area to drug-addicted parents, Mona faced an early life of strife. Through a suicide attempt in her late teens, she found her purpose for living, dedicated her life to serving others through hard times, and began a personal development journey. That journey led her to serve as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer, join the Community Juvenile Justice Committee, mentor young adults with the Launchpad Teen Center, and coach small groups of people 1 on 1 in what she calls the EPIC Method. Mona is currently the Development Director at Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation, and is looking forward to finding more ways to serve those in need in her community and beyond! This talk was recorded live at the Center for Spiritual Living Prescott on April 9, 2023.
