On July the 16th, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II officially opened Delphine’s House in Annot, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. Supported by the Monaco Disease Power association, the residential facility offers specialised accommodation and long-term support for people with disabilities.Monaco’s commitment to humanitarian aid was also on display on July the 16th, when Prince Albert II visited the Humanitarian Firefighters 06 Menton association to mark the delivery of a new refrigerated truck. The vehicle, funded largely through the generosity of the Principality, will help transport food safely to families in need across the region.Music took centre stage at Fort Antoine Theatre as French pop star Styleto made her Monaco debut on July the 16th. Her performance launched Kaleido, a new initiative by the Department of Cultural Affairs designed to introduce younger audiences to live music and cultural events. Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene opened the evening with a dance before welcoming distinguished guests, including Camille Gottlieb. The prestigious charity event once again raised vital funds to support the humanitarian work of the Monaco Red Cross.Monaco’s rising rugby stars celebrated a major achievement on July the 20th as the Principality’s Under-18 rugby sevens team secured promotion to Europe’s top division. After finishing runners-up at the European Trophy tournament in Budapest, the young squad capped another outstanding season for Monegasque rugby.A remarkable piece of Monaco’s royal history returned to the spotlight on July the 20th with the screening of a restored version of The Wedding of Monaco. Seventy years after the marriage of Prince Rainier III and Grace Kelly captivated the world, the documentary was shown in the Court of Honour of the Prince’s Palace following an extensive restoration based on newly discovered original film reels.Monaco and Slovenia celebrated two decades of diplomatic relations on July the 22nd with commemorative events held in Ljubljana.
