Here's the news: - The Illinois Land Improvement Contractors Association is hosting a free dinner event this Thursday at 6 pm at Martin Equipment of Illinois in Peru, IL. Reducing labor costs, John Deere SmartGrade technology and the benefits of ILICA membership will all be topics of discussion. For more information or to register call (309) 932-1230 with any questions! - This Friday, January 13th and Wednesday, January 18th will be events with presentations hosted by the North Aurora Police Department. The first, on the 13th of January will feature Kane County State's Attorney's Office as guest speaker and will be at 10 am. The second will feature Assistant State’s Attorney Matt Rodgers and will be at 6:30 pm on the 18th of January. The purpose of these events is to inform the public about identity theft and scams targeting seniors. Please share this information. Both presentations are free and open to the public. - Lastly, join the City of Aurora, IL, Government for the 38th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration celebration taking place on Monday, January 16th. This event will be held at East Aurora High School and begins at 6 pm. Special guest speaker will be attorney, author and advocate Star Jones who is also a former NYC Prosecutor and Assistant District Attorney.
