Here's the news: - Tuesday, March 14th from 10 am to 11 am, visit the Aurora Public Library (Santori Branch) for a wonderful community event. Join Hometown Heroes for “Our America Reads”, an in-person reading event with a first responder. An Aurora Police officer will be the guest and reader. This event is free, open to the public and family-friendly. Highland). This will be from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm and will feature staff from the Aurora Financial Empowerment Center & the Neighbor Project. This event is free and open to the public. For more information call (630) 256-4552. - Saturday, April 15th from 8 am to noon join the Fox Valley Park District and many other fantastic organizations for the annual community cleanup service project. All participants will meet at the Cole Center, located at 101 W. Illinois avenue. The cleanup itself will encompass both banks of the Fox River close to downtown.
