Monday marks a major deadline for the future of Charlotte's proposed Red Line commuter rail service. It's the last day city leaders can buy the tracks -- and the deal with Norfolk Southern is well underway as of Monday morning. The city of Charlotte voted last Tuesday to acquire the railroad tracks and support a sales tax to fund the purchase for the project. Only one member of the Charlotte City Council, Tariq Bokhari, voted against the two resolutions.
