Monday Meditations - Matthew 13:30 – Episode 11

Originally written October 17, 2011 posted here: https://forthesakeofthetruth.com/2011/10/17/justice-delayed/Today’s Meditation Verse:Matthew 13:30Allow both to grow together until the harvest; and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather up the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them up; but gather the wheat into my barn.Justice is something we all want and seek. But many times we are left wondering why doesn’t God do something sooner? Why does He wait to deal with those who are in the enemy’s camp? Why does He allow them to kill, steal, and destroy? Because there is a divine appointed time to administer justice.We may not understand, we may not see why, but this is yet another area to just trust in God.In this parable, when the wheat was planted, and the tares were sown, they grew together side by side. If a tare were to be pulled out, the roots of the tare would also uproot the wheat. So to do what is ultimately best for the wheat, the tares MUST be left until the end of the harvest when it is okay for the wheat to also be uprooted.So, when we see injustice and wrongdoing, let us trust and pray and patiently wait.
