Monday Minute #31: God isn't Disappointed in Your Anxiety, with Hannah Curry

Is God disappointed in us when we feel anxious? In this Monday Minute, Hannah Curry reflects on Psalm 103:8 and the comforting truth that God is not frustrated by our anxiety. The more she has walked with Him, the more she has come to see that God’s heart is compassionate, patient, and full of mercy. God is not asking us to come to Him after we’ve found peace. He is asking us to come to Him because He already is peace. Anxiety may make us feel like we have to get ourselves together before we approach Him, but God meets us with gentleness right in the middle of it. He knows our frame, He understands our fear, and He is not disappointed by our need for Him. Take a minute today to be reminded: you don’t have to bring God a calmer version of yourself. You can bring Him the anxious one — and let His peace meet you there. And remember, when we’re together, it’ll always be fun!
