Blessed are all who trust in you, O Lord. Why do the nations conspire, and the peoples plot in vain? They arise, the kings of the earth; princes plot against the Lord and his Anointed “Let us burst asunder their fetters. Let us cast off from us their chains.”He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord derides and mocks them. Then he will speak in his anger, his rage will strike them with terror. “It is I who hanve appointed my king on Sion, my holy mountain.”I will announce the decree of the Lord: The Lord said to me, “You are my Son. It is I who have begotten you this day. Ask of me and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, and the ends of the earth as your possession. With a rod of iron you will rule them; like a potter’s jar you will shatter them.”R/. Gospel: John 3:1-8There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus,  a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to him,  “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God;  for no one can do these signs that you do,  unless God is with them.” Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you,  unless one is born anew, they cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to him,  “How can a person be born when they are old?  Can they enter a second time into his mother’s womb  and be born?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you,  unless one is born of water and the Spirit,  they cannot enter the kingdom of God.  That which is born of the flesh is flesh,  and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you,  ‘You must be born anew.’ The wind blows where it wills,
