You really have to decide what job you don’t mind doing the unenjoyable parts of. Musicians need to perform at night when the average person likes to make dinner and wind down from their day. But they are passionate about creating through sound and that is their compromise. But there are parts of their industry, like production or song writing, that they could do alternatively if they didn’t like the evening performances. This isn’t cut-and-dried for any industry, not so black-and-white—you can find a little wiggle room.
